About the position

The Assistant Operations Manager at Keller will play a crucial role in supporting the Operations Manager in developing long-term plans to enhance the branch's operations. This position involves project management, safety compliance, and risk management, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop long-term plans to grow the operations of the branch in collaboration with the Operations Manager.
  • Identify improvement initiatives to implement Keller and branch strategies effectively.
  • Assist with project management and initial planning, including reviewing project schedules and equipment requirements.
  • Collaborate with General Superintendents, Superintendents, and Project Managers to address project issues and challenges.
  • Maintain regular communication with project teams to stay updated on branch project statuses and manage escalated issues as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with Keller and OSHA safety requirements and support project management teams in the event of a safety incident.
  • Ensure that work is performed according to contract quality requirements.
  • Understand and comply with Keller's risk management policies and procedures, recognizing and mitigating major risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of construction or industry-related experience preferred.
  • Excellent computer, written, and verbal communication skills necessary.
