About the position

The Assistant or Associate Professor position in the Division of Hematology-Oncology at the Department of Pediatrics focuses on providing quality care for hematology conditions. The role involves managing patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, educating and supervising trainees, and engaging in clinical or basic science research in hematology.

Responsibilities

• Manage outpatient and/or inpatient care for designated patients in a tertiary hospital setting.
• Educate and supervise trainees including fellows, residents, and advanced practice practitioners.
• Perform procedures (bone marrow) on patients as indicated.
• Serve as consultant for Texas Children's Cancer and Hematology Center physicians at community hospitals.
• Engage in clinical or basic science research in hematology.

Requirements

• M.D. or equivalent degree.
• Board certified or board eligible for Pediatric Hematology-Oncology boards.
• Must obtain Texas Medical License and Drug Enforcement Administration registration prior to employment start date.
