About the position

The Sherry Lesar School of Nursing at Montana Technological University is seeking applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty at either the Assistant or Associate rank. The successful candidate will provide educational instruction and intervention within the classroom, clinical and simulation lab settings and will be expected to participate in curriculum development and assessment of learning outcomes. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, holding regular office hours, student recruitment, advising and committee work as assigned.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Nursing or current enrollment in a Master's of Nursing program.
  • Current unencumbered license as a registered nurse or advanced practice nurse in the state of Montana or ability to obtain by start date.
  • 2-3 years of nursing experience and demonstrated ability to perform at a high level.
  • Evidence of strong written and oral communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Doctoral degree (PhD, DNP, EdD) preferred.
  • Prior classroom and/or clinical teaching experience at the collegiate level.
  • Evidence of scholarly activity.
  • Experience in simulation education.
  • 2-3 years of community health nursing experience.
  • 2-3 years of geriatric nursing experience.
