About the position

The College of Business at Doane University is seeking applicants for a full-time tenure-track faculty position as an Assistant or Associate Professor of Finance. The College of Business (COB) at Doane University is ACBSP accredited and serves both undergraduate and graduate students at campuses located in Crete and Lincoln, Nebraska. The COB provides a highly collaborative and collegial environment that is very supportive of teaching, scholarship activities, and faculty development. Responsibilities will include teaching a total of 21 credit hours per academic year across a variety of finance courses. We have a strong interest in faculty with expertise in one or more areas, including corporate finance, investments, international finance, business valuation, and financial analysis. The anticipated start date for the position is August 2025. Potential Additional Opportunity: This position may provide the opportunity to administer undergraduate programs within the COB across residential and non-residential student populations. Responsibilities

  • Teach a total of 21 credit hours per academic year across a variety of finance courses.
  • Engage in faculty scholarly and service activities.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts within the COB.
  • Potentially administer undergraduate programs within the COB across residential and non-residential student populations.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or DBA in Finance earned or in progress.
  • Academically qualified to meet ACBSP accreditation standards.
  • Successful experience as an instructor of finance.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional activity and scholarship.
  • Knowledge of methods to effectively instruct, motivate, and evaluate both undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Ability to teach across a variety of modalities.
