About the position

The position involves providing analytical support to the Plant Controller, focusing on managing key performance indicators (KPIs), performing cost analysis, and assisting with financial reporting and planning. The role requires collaboration with various departments to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting, as well as maintaining internal controls and supporting audits.

Responsibilities

• Provide analytical support to Plant Controller, managing KPI's and performing cost analysis.
• Update and publish daily KPI reports.
• Conduct monthly financial close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement analysis.
• Assist with the preparation of the Annual Operating Plan, Strategic Deployment Plan, and monthly forecasting.
• Prepare capital spending budgets and forecasts, working with project managers on capital spend tracking and timing, and perform audits of capital projects and existing assets.
• Track and forecast all cost savings projects for the Cleveland & Brownsville Plants.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain on inventory analysis and initiatives, and coordinate physical inventory.
• Maintain all internal controls and assist with external and internal audits.
• Support Operational Excellence by providing analytical support and participating in various lean events.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with accounting concentration.
• Master's Degree or CPA/CMA preferred.
• 5 - 7 years of experience in all aspects of manufacturing accounting.
• Excellent Excel skills (SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, pivot tables, nested functions, etc.).
• Lean/Six Sigma experience.
• Outstanding communication, verbal and written, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of GAAP accounting and automated accounting systems.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Nice-to-haves

• ERP System experience, JDE E1, a plus.
• Knowledge of Queries and Connections (PowerQuery) a plus.
