About the position

The Assistant Plant Manager at Drexel Chemical Company is responsible for overseeing the safe, reliable, and cost-effective production of crop protection chemicals. This role involves managing all aspects of the production process, including formulation, packaging, maintenance, quality control, and logistics, with a focus on optimizing efficiency and achieving annual productivity goals.

Responsibilities

• Administer EH&S standards to ensure the protection of personnel, the community, and the environment.
• Direct and monitor plant production to effectively meet required production goals.
• Organize and control maintenance functions to reduce cost and optimize reliability.
• Coordinate with corporate human resources to identify, analyze, and resolve personnel issues.
• Provide corporate production management with accurate and timely information for effective decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws regulating plant operation, distribution of product, and management of employees.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years verifiable experience in Operations, Maintenance, or Technical leadership position.
• Proven leadership, communication, and management skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to EH&S excellence.
• Sound working knowledge of basic chemical unit operations, including manufacturing and packaging.
