About the position

The Assistant Preschool Teacher will work in a state-of-the-art, Keystone STARS accredited preschool in Gilbertsville, PA, providing a safe and nurturing environment for children aged 3 to 4 years. This full-time position involves assisting the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities and maintaining educational portfolios, while also ensuring the well-being of each child in care.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children.
• Assist the Lead Teacher with the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities and curriculum.
• Supervise and engage children in educational and play activities.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom.
• Monitor and ensure the well-being of each child in your care.
• Communicate with parents about their child's progress and any concerns.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment.
• Participate in training sessions, workshops, and staff meetings to enhance your skills.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with children up to 5 years old, including babysitting and nanny experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. for handling children and ensuring safety.
• Must meet background check eligibility.
