About the position

The Assistant Product Developer at Lululemon plays a crucial role in the Product Development team, supporting the commercialization of high-quality products from concept to pre-production. This position involves collaboration with various cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of products while maintaining data integrity and managing samples. The role emphasizes strong communication, organization, and a proactive approach to learning and development.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Product Development organization under the mentorship of senior Developers.
  • Drive the commercialization of best-in-class products in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Manage sample organization, style number, and colorway creation.
  • Maintain data integrity in Flex PLM and other relevant systems.
  • Support daily workflow adhering to GTM deliverables and development timelines.
  • Oversee the style or group of carryover styles through to production readiness.
  • Complete and manage identified style BOM initiation, fabric, trims, and technical components.
  • Assist in the preparation of fittings and presentations as required.
  • Facilitate the organization of samples for the product development team as required.
  • Take clear and concise notes for key meetings and communicate to relevant internal team members as needed.
  • Facilitate the ordering of wear testing samples with vendors and cross-functional partners.
  • Advance technical and product management knowledge through mentorship and training from senior team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience; focused training in Technical Design, Product Management, or Product Development preferred.
  • 0 - 2 years professional experience in relevant industry is an asset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook) and Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop).
  • Understanding of Flex PLM or similar PLM software is an asset.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity or proficiency with Gerber Pattern Making and/or 3D software (CLO, Browzwear) is an asset.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and a collaborative mindset.
  • Curiosity for change and learning, capable of managing ambiguity.
