About the position

As an Assistant Product Developer at AM Fitness, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Product Developer in creating high-quality products for our community of fitness enthusiasts. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys a variety of tasks each day. You will be involved in the entire product development process, from initial concept to final production, ensuring that our products meet the high standards expected by our customers. Your responsibilities will include administrative tasks, sample handling, and quality assurance, all of which are essential to the success of our product lines. In this role, you will assist in developing new products by collaborating closely with the Product Manager and cross-functional teams. You will be responsible for commenting on bulk fabrics, lab dips, print strike-offs, and trims, as well as supporting the creation of product specifications and tech packs. Your attention to detail will be vital as you handle samples, including shipping, receiving, tracking, and organizing the sample library. You will also prepare samples for photoshoots, ensuring that everything is in order for marketing and promotional activities. Quality assurance is another key aspect of your role. You will help test and evaluate prototypes, pre-production, and final products to ensure they meet our rigorous quality and performance standards. This includes conducting garment quality control measures such as measuring and washing tests. Additionally, you will gather and analyze feedback from internal teams, athletes, and community members to refine product designs and features, making sure that our offerings resonate with our target audience. Collaboration and communication are essential in this position. You will work closely with the design and production teams, participating in team meetings and taking notes during fittings. Your insights from garment quality controls will be invaluable in keeping everyone informed and aligned on product development goals.

Responsibilities

• Support Product Development by assisting in developing new products and working closely with the Product Manager and cross-functional teams.
• Handle samples by shipping, receiving, tracking, and distributing them to the team, as well as organizing the sample library and preparing samples for photoshoots.
• Assist in Testing & Quality Assurance by helping to test and evaluate prototypes, pre-production, and final products, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards.
• Conduct garment quality control, including measuring and washing tests, and gather feedback from internal teams and athletes to refine product designs.
• Collaborate and communicate with the design and production team, participating in team meetings and providing updates from garment quality controls.

Requirements

• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Preferable minimum one year of experience with product development.
• Education within Textiles/Product Development.
• Experience measuring samples and entering specifications in tech packs.
• Working knowledge of PLM systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
