About the position

The Assistant Production Manager for Retail Dining and Catering at Auxiliary Services, State University College at Oswego, is responsible for overseeing the preparation of complex menu items while ensuring adherence to safety and sanitation standards. This role requires a strong focus on customer service and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The position is full-time and offers a generous benefits package.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare complex menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards in food preparation and service.
  • Assist the Campus Center Food Court Manager in daily operations and staff management.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to students, faculty, and visitors.
  • Maintain inventory and assist in ordering supplies as needed.

Requirements

  • A 2-year degree in Culinary Arts with food service experience, or a High School diploma or GED with 3 years of food service experience and at least one year of catering experience.
  • Valid NYS Class D Driver's license.
  • Experience with restaurant point-of-sales systems preferred.
