About the position

The Assistant Production Manager is responsible for supervising production teams and overseeing production jobs to ensure they are completed with high quality, safety, and efficiency. This role involves training, performance management, and ensuring a remarkable customer experience throughout the production process.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production teams and ensure production jobs are completed to high standards.
• Create, lead, and manage production training programs.
• Inspect job sites, equipment, tools, and production crews.
• Assist the Production Manager with performance management for production crews.
• Conduct group and individual production meetings.
• Formulate and implement strategies to meet key performance indicators for each crew.
• Stay updated on production best practices for safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Review and approve timecards daily.
• Assist with monthly safety meetings and communicate adjustments to best practices as needed.
• Ensure all installations are performed safely, efficiently, and with high quality.
• Communicate with customers to ensure a remarkable experience and resolve any issues.

Requirements

• Knowledge of construction or related trades preferred.
• Ability to operate equipment and/or power tools preferred.
• Proficient in using a phone/app/tablet.
• Ability to detect and recognize information in written materials or on a screen up to 75% of the time.
• Ability to understand, speak, read, and write in English; Spanish is a plus.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in the construction trades or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates a proven track record in this field.
• Valid driver's license (and/or CDL) with a safe driving record.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in customer service within the construction industry.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
