About the position

The Assistant Production Manager at Spiegelworld plays a crucial role in supporting the Production team and technical crew for the show Absinthe at Caesars Palace. This full-time position involves collaboration with the Production Manager and Technical Director to ensure smooth operations, adherence to safety standards, and continuous improvement of site processes. The role emphasizes a commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility within the workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Identify projects and ongoing improvements in collaboration with the Production Manager and Technical Director.
  • Actively engage in antiracist commitment and internal practices by participating in offered learnings and discussions around Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility.
  • Be available to answer show-related questions while the Production Manager and Technical Director are not on site.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures, setting the standard for excellence in the venue.
  • Maintain proper documentation of vendors and ongoing site occurrences.
  • Understand and be familiar with all major site systems, including internet, security equipment, access, and safety.
  • Track inventory and notify the Production Manager of any orders that are needed.
  • Perform open and closing procedures.
  • Have a basic understanding and troubleshooting capabilities with temporary worksite equipment such as container offices, trailers, HVAC, and electrical systems.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or 3-5 years of experience in technical theatre.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and stand for long periods of time.
  • Comfortable working at heights and with basic power tools.
  • Technical knowledge in theatrical audio, lighting, and rigging equipment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Team-oriented and self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a constantly changing, creative environment.
  • Passion for delivering the highest standards consistently.
  • Comfortable improvising in the moment as part of the dynamic environment.
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must maintain proper safety and sanitation standards.
  • Valid work authorization for the US.
  • Successful background check clearance prior to hire.
  • OSHA 30 and Scissor Lift Certification.
