About the position

The Assistant Production Manager at WWAKE is responsible for supporting production operations under the guidance of the Production Manager. This role involves managing daily operational tasks, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining efficient production timelines. The position requires collaboration with various departments to execute production strategies effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Improve and maintain a comprehensive tracking system for production from order placement to material sourcing and actual production.
  • Assist in managing daily operations within production, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Act as a key communication point for production status and updates, keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, providing creative solutions to maintain workflow and meet deadlines.
  • Support strategic planning initiatives and contribute to the production calendar to align with company goals.
  • Work closely with the Production Manager to implement strategies that enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Assist with vendor relationships, ensuring materials meet ethical and quality standards.
  • Coordinate procurement of materials and oversee logistics of material delivery to maintain production schedules.
  • Conduct quality control assessments of incoming materials to ensure they meet design specifications.
  • Work directly with vendors to resolve quality issues, ensuring adherence to high standards.
  • Help train and mentor new team members in production standards and processes.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the production team.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years experience in a production management role, preferably in the luxury or fine jewelry industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Production Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple aspects of production operations with a strong focus on quality.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to achieving high standards of quality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively with various teams and external partners.
  • Ability to adapt to changing production demands and work under pressure.
