About the position
The Assistant Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the production process on the 2nd shift, ensuring efficiency and adherence to production quotas and deadlines. This role involves coordinating with the Production Supervisor, analyzing productivity, and enforcing company policies while maintaining food safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the production process to improve efficiencies and meet production quotas.
- Coordinate work assignments with the Production Supervisor.
- Engage with the Production Supervisor to analyze productivity, workflow, methods, and procedures, making recommendations to management.
- Enforce all company policies and plant rules, including problem-solving and the development of standard operating procedures.
- Complete the production labor schedule by scheduling and assigning personnel, monitoring progress, and revising schedules to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and customer requirements.
