About the position

The University of Pennsylvania is seeking an Assistant Professor in the non-tenure academic clinician track within the Division of Oncology in the Department of Pediatrics. This role focuses on pediatric hematology/oncology, requiring expertise in the field and a commitment to teaching and clinical responsibilities. The position involves both inpatient and outpatient care for children, adolescents, and young adults, as well as opportunities for involvement in pediatric cancer research.

Responsibilities

  • Provide didactic and clinical instruction to junior faculty, fellows, residents, and medical students.
  • Deliver inpatient care for pediatric patients at the Philadelphia University City Hospital.
  • Conduct outpatient clinical care at the Buerger Oncology Clinic and the Voorhees NJ CHOP Specialty Care Center.
  • Engage in pediatric cancer research, including enrolling and treating patients in clinical trials.

Requirements

  • M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
  • Board-certified or eligible in pediatric hematology/oncology.
  • At least one year of experience after completion of pediatric hematology/oncology fellowship training.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents.
  • Research experience in pediatric oncology.
