About the position

The Department of Computer Science at Texas Christian University (TCU) is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) starting in Fall 2025. This full-time faculty position emphasizes effective teaching and research, with a focus on establishing a funded research program in AI/ML. The ideal candidate will contribute to the department's growth and development of graduate programs while engaging in interdisciplinary research and collaboration across the university.

Responsibilities

• Instruct a variety of undergraduate courses in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, and Data Science programs.
• Establish a high-impact research program and actively seek external funding to support research.
• Engage in interdisciplinary research and collaborate on initiatives across the university.
• Contribute to departmental, college, and university service activities.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field from an accredited institution, to be completed by the start of employment.
• Expertise in AI and Machine Learning, with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and research.
• Potential to establish an externally funded research program.
• Ability and willingness to contribute to the department's growth, including the future development of graduate programs.
