About the position

Oklahoma State University (OSU) is seeking qualified candidates for an open-rank, career-track faculty position within the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE). This role involves teaching lab-intensive undergraduate and graduate courses in various ECE topics, serving as an academic advisor, and participating in educational outreach programs. The position is non-tenure track and will be filled at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Practice level, depending on the candidate's qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teach lab-intensive undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE).
  • Cover topics such as electric circuits, microelectronics, analog and digital circuit design, robotics, VLSI, digital logic design, and embedded systems.
  • Act as an academic advisor for ECE students.
  • Participate in student-centered educational activities and outreach programs.

Requirements

  • Earned Ph.D. or equivalent in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Practical engineering design experience in the industry or prior teaching experience in higher education is highly valued.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Experience in advising graduate students.
