About the position

The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Oklahoma State University is seeking a tenure-track faculty member in Geotechnical Engineering. Candidates are expected to develop a strong externally funded research program and collaborate with existing faculty expertise.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a strong externally funded research program in geotechnical engineering.
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in geotechnical engineering.
  • Mentor students and collaborate with colleagues in research and teaching.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art research facilities, including the Bert Cooper Engineering Research Laboratory and the High-Performance Computing Center.
  • Contribute to the academic community through scholarly publications and professional service.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering or a closely related field with a focus on Geotechnical or Geo-Environmental Engineering.
  • Strong record of research and scholarly publications in relevant areas.
  • Ability to become licensed as a Professional Engineer within 6 years of appointment.
