About the position

The University of Pennsylvania's Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding clinical care to emergency department patients across three city hospitals.
  • Engage in bedside clinical teaching of emergency medicine residents, students, and off-service trainees.
  • Conduct lectures, journal clubs, case conferences, simulation teaching, and small group discussions.
  • Participate in independent research and scholarship as a key component of the position.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across departments and schools.

Requirements

  • M.D. degree required.
  • ABEM certified or board eligible in emergency medicine.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for teaching and clinical education in emergency medicine.
  • Strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and evidence-based practice knowledge.
