About the position

The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College is seeking a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice for the Behavioral Science Department, starting August 15, 2025. This role includes teaching responsibilities, serving as the Program Director for the Criminal Justice program, and engaging in research and professional development activities.

Responsibilities

  • Teach four courses per semester, including Introduction to Criminal Justice and Policing in America.
  • Serve as the Program Director of Criminal Justice, acting as the program contact for students and coordinating events.
  • Participate in department and college service, including data collection for program assessment and attending meetings.
  • Engage in research in the applicant's area of expertise and participate in professional development activities.

Requirements

  • PhD in Criminal Justice, Sociology, or a related field, or a JD.
  • One academic year of collegiate teaching experience in Criminal Justice or a related field.
