About the position

The Yale School of Engineering & Applied Science is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the field of Database Systems or Data Management, with a start date of July 1, 2025. This position is designed for individuals who demonstrate excellence in research and a commitment to teaching within the Computer Science curriculum. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage in interdisciplinary research collaborations both within the Computer Science Department and across other departments and professional schools at Yale. Faculty members at Yale are encouraged to explore innovative teaching methods and contribute to the academic growth of both graduate and undergraduate students. Candidates are expected to submit a comprehensive application package that includes a cover letter, curriculum vitae, a teaching statement, a research statement, and three confidential letters of recommendation. The teaching statement should detail the candidate's previous teaching experiences and outline how they plan to enhance the curriculum at Yale. The research statement should articulate a clear vision for future research endeavors and highlight any potential collaborative opportunities within Yale.
