Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary clinical care in accordance with standards set by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners and the American College of Physicians.
• Conduct thorough patient examinations and perform necessary invasive procedures.
• Maintain a clinical consultative practice for referred patients.
• Ensure accurate coding and timely documentation of patient records.
• Communicate effectively with other physicians regarding patient care.
• Stay updated on current management approaches through continuing education.
• Participate in best practice initiatives and clinical effectiveness projects.
• Serve on institutional committees as requested and represent the department at meetings.
• Develop and lead research programs aligned with departmental goals.
• Identify funding sources and submit grant applications.
• Act as a role model and provide educational programs for dermatology residents.

Requirements

• Medical Degree and completion of a 3-year dermatology residency program.
• Licensed as a physician in the State of Texas.
• Board certified or obtained within the department's timeline.
• At least 2 years experience as an Instructor or 5 years post-degree experience in clinical practice or GME training.
• Evidence of excellence in clinical care and performance.
• Current certification in CPR, BCLS, or ACLS.
