About the position

The Assistant Professor position in Digital Media at Eastern Mennonite University is a tenure-track faculty role focused on teaching video production and digital media courses. Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in video production, motion graphics, and sound design, typically three to four courses per semester.
• Develop and teach introductory courses in general education as needed.
• Engage in ongoing creative and scholarly work that includes student participation.
• Provide advising and mentoring to students in Digital Media, Photography, and Design or Marketing Majors.
• Participate in university committees and departmental service.

Requirements

• MFA or Ph.D. in digital media or video production, or ABD candidates considered at the rank of instructor.
• Demonstrated expertise in digital media and video production.
• A strong commitment to inclusive and student-centered teaching.

Nice-to-haves

• Skills in graphic design and/or photography are preferred.
