The University of Montevallo College of Education and Human Development invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Educational Research with expertise in Qualitative Research Methods, beginning in August 2025. Responsibilities include developing and teaching graduate classes in educational research and foundations in face-to-face, online, and blended formats; advising and mentoring graduate students; maintaining an active research agenda; participating in curriculum and program development and assessment, as well as program recruitment initiatives; actively contributing to accreditation processes and requirements; contributing to collaborative and interdisciplinary efforts across the college and campus; serving on committees at the university, college, and department levels; supporting action research projects at the educational specialists level and serving as a member of doctoral dissertation committees; participating in professional organizations; and engaging in service activities in P-12 educational and community settings. Specific courses may include Qualitative Methods, Applied Educational Research, Systemic Planning and Evaluation for School Improvement.
