The Department of Electrical Engineering at San José State University (SJSU) is excited to announce a search for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the areas of ASIC, SOC, AI/ML Hardware & Embedded Systems design, set to begin in August 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses in electrical engineering, with a strong emphasis on the aforementioned areas of expertise. The department is committed to providing a high-quality education, and the new faculty member will play a crucial role in achieving this goal by delivering engaging instruction and fostering a dynamic learning environment. Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, SJSU's Electrical Engineering Department offers students hands-on experience in state-of-the-art laboratories and opportunities for internships with leading industry partners. The department currently serves over 550 undergraduate and 250 graduate students, all of whom benefit from a curriculum designed to prepare them for successful careers in various fields, including device physics, micro and nano electronics, integrated circuits, communications, signal processing, and machine learning.
