About the position

The Department of Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Boston is seeking applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, with a focus on Power Systems and related fields. The successful candidate will be expected to establish and maintain a nationally recognized and externally funded applied research program in areas such as Power Systems, Power Electronics, Electric Motors and Drive, Power Apparatus and Protection, Smart Grids, Renewable Energy Systems, and Wireless Power Transfer. This position requires a strong research track record and the ability to teach core courses in Power Engineering and related subjects. UMass Boston is an urban public research university that emphasizes teaching and has a significant impact both locally and globally. A completed Ph.D. in Computer and/or Electrical Engineering or a closely related field is required at the time of hiring. Responsibilities

Requirements
