About The Position

The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor of History, specializing in United States history and environmental history, starting in August 2025. Requirements

  • PhD in History or a closely related field prior to the effective date of appointment.
  • Four courses of collegiate level History teaching experience, including one survey course in US History.
  • Experience teaching one environmental history course at the collegiate level or one publication/presentation in environmental history.
  • Experience in both online and in-person teaching.

Responsibilities

  • Teach a variety of undergraduate history courses, including introductory US history surveys and environmental history.
  • Create and teach courses in both online and in-person formats, adhering to the Quality Matters rubric standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and research in history or the scholarship of teaching and learning.
  • Participate in governance and committee work of the department, college, and university.
