About the position

The Assistant Professor in Exercise Science position at Saint Martin's University is a tenure-track faculty role aimed at candidates with a Ph.D. or equivalent in Exercise Science or a related field. Responsibilities

  • Teach foundational Exercise Science courses, Senior Research, and courses in the candidate's area of expertise.
  • Initiate a vigorous research program involving undergraduates.
  • Advise students and mentor undergraduate research projects.
  • Perform departmental and university-wide service.
  • Participate in ongoing curriculum development.
  • Teach in the University's Core Curriculum and occasionally in the First Year Seminar program.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a closely related field.
  • BOC certification and WA Athletic Training licensure (or ability to obtain).
  • Teaching experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong commitment to undergraduate education.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Sports Medicine and Athletic Training.
  • Interest in mentoring undergraduate research projects.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $65,000 to $67,000 annually.
  • 9-month contract paid over 12 months, benefits eligible.
