About the position
The School of Business and Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Superior invites applications for the faculty position of tenure-track Assistant Professor of Accounting. The school is seeking individuals who will provide excellent undergraduate instruction, incorporate current techniques in teaching and research, and work collaboratively to strengthen the school's business programs.
Requirements
- PhD earned by August 27, 2025, from a school/college accredited by the AACSB or similar accrediting body with a curricular emphasis in the field of Accounting or a closely related field.
- Instructor of record for at least one semester teaching Accounting in-person and/or online in higher education.
- Evidence of quality scholarship leading to regular publications and engagement in scholarly activities in relevant professional societies and public outreach.
Nice-to-haves
- Completed PhD from a school/college accredited by the AACSB or similar accrediting body with a curricular emphasis in the field of Accounting.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or other similar certification.
- At least two years of teaching Accounting in-person and/or online in higher education.
- Experience with using a variety of teaching methods in a classroom.
- Experience in online curriculum development.
- A proven track record of scholarly accomplishments or a well-developed research agenda.
- Experience engaging with the business community.
