About the position

The Cummings School of Architecture at Roger Williams University is seeking two tenure-track Assistant Professors to join their faculty. The positions involve teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in architectural design studios and related coursework, with a focus on design excellence, sustainable practices, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Successful candidates will contribute to the academic community through teaching, advising, program development, and scholarly work.

Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate coursework in architectural design studios.
  • Advise students on academic and professional matters.
  • Participate in program development and curriculum design.
  • Engage in scholarly, creative, and professional work related to architecture.
  • Contribute to institutional and community service activities.

Requirements

  • Completed a professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch., M.Arch, or D.Arch).
  • Teaching experience in architecture or related fields.
  • Record of scholarly, professional, and creative achievement.
  • Post-professional degree and/or professional experience is preferred.
  • Professional registration in Architecture is strongly desired.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with digital media and representation coursework.
  • Expertise in construction materials and assemblies.
