About the position

The Assistant Professor of Biology (Tenure Track) at Ashland University is responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in the Biology major, mentoring undergraduate research students, and engaging in service activities. Responsibilities

  • Teach undergraduate courses in the Biology major, including Human Anatomy and Physiology, Vertebrate Biology, and Cell Biology.
  • Teach human-cadaver based Anatomy and Physiology courses for health sciences majors, if qualified.
  • Maintain an active research program suitable for undergraduate students.
  • Mentor undergraduate research students.
  • Engage in service activities within the department and university.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in an area of Biology is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching undergraduates.
