About The Position

The Assistant Professor of Biomedical Sciences at Eastern Kentucky University is a tenure-track position focused on teaching and research in the biological sciences. Requirements

• Earned Doctorate in Biology (Biomedical) or a related field from an accredited institution at the time of appointment.
• Knowledge of current practices in professional communication and social media.

• Ability to collaborate with peers and students.
• Evidence of good character, mature attitude, and professional integrity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a full-time teaching load, teaching courses as assigned to meet the needs of EKU students.
• Utilize effective teaching methods and innovative techniques to enhance student learning.
• Demonstrate the ability to teach, develop, and implement courses related to the curricular area.
• Maintain an active research agenda and pursue extramural funding.
• Mentor undergraduate and master's students.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to support the mission of EKU.
