The Department of Political Science and Criminal Justice at West Texas A&M University is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice for the Fall of 2025. West Texas A&M University offers a quality liberal arts education at the undergraduate and graduate levels to the student body through face-to-face and online venues. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to add to the department's core areas of corrections, policing, and courts. This is a full-time, 9-month faculty position. The successful candidate will teach a full course load of 9 credit hours per semester. The teaching load will consist of teaching advanced undergraduate and graduate-level courses. The undergraduate teaching will be a mix of online as well as face-to-face. Other responsibilities include advising students, maintaining an active research agenda that results in peer-reviewed publications, and participating in departmental, college, and university service.
