About the position

The University of Findlay is seeking a non-tenure track Assistant Professor of Teaching in Nursing to join the Nursing Department within the College of Health Professions. This full-time position aims to enhance the educational experience of nursing students through effective teaching and mentorship. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to nursing education and demonstrate leadership in the field.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate nursing courses in accordance with the curriculum.
• Mentor and support nursing students in their academic and professional development.
• Engage in scholarly activities and contribute to the accreditation process.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance the nursing program.
• Participate in departmental meetings and university committees.

Requirements

• Licensed registered nurse with an earned doctorate in nursing or a related field preferred.
• Licensed registered nurse with an earned Master of Science in Nursing degree will be considered.
• Eligible for an Ohio Nursing License.
• Minimum of three years of clinical experience, preferably in mental health, community, pediatrics, or obstetrical nursing.
• Prior college teaching experience is preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
