About the position

The University of Findlay is seeking a non-tenure track Assistant Professor of Teaching in Nursing within the College of Health Professions. This position aims to enhance the educational experience of nursing students through effective teaching and mentorship. The role requires a commitment to student engagement and professional development in the nursing field.

Responsibilities

• Teach nursing courses in the curriculum.
• Mentor and support nursing students in their academic and professional development.
• Engage in scholarly and professional activities related to nursing education.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to program development.
• Assist with accreditation processes and maintain compliance with nursing education standards.

Requirements

• Licensed registered nurse with an earned doctorate in nursing or a related field preferred.
• Licensed registered nurse with an earned Master of Science in Nursing degree will be considered.
• Eligibility for an Ohio Nursing License.
• Minimum of three years of clinical experience in nursing, preferably in mental health, community, pediatrics, or obstetrical nursing.
• Prior college teaching experience is preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
