About the position
The Statistics Group at the Stern School of Business, New York University, is seeking applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position starting in the 2025-26 academic year. This role emphasizes a commitment to analytical and field-based research in statistical science, with a focus on interdisciplinary applications relevant to business, including areas such as Information Technology, Operations Management, Marketing, Economics, and Finance. Candidates are expected to engage in productive research and effective teaching at various academic levels.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research in statistical science and its applications in business.
- Teach undergraduate, MBA, and PhD level courses in statistics.
- Collaborate with faculty across disciplines to enhance the Statistics program.
- Engage in service activities within the department and university.
Requirements
- PhD in Statistics or a related field, or successful defense of doctoral dissertation prior to appointment.
- Demonstrated research productivity in statistical science.
- Experience in classroom teaching is highly desirable.
