About the position

The Assistant Professor of Victorian Literature is a full-time, tenure-track position at Appalachian State University, focusing on undergraduate and graduate teaching in English literature. Requirements

  • PhD in English or ABD with completion by the date of hire.
  • At least two years of college-level teaching experience, including literature courses.
  • Demonstrated capacity for developing effective pedagogies for diverse learners.
  • Evidence of successful teaching and potential for innovative scholarship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Environmental Humanities or Digital Humanities.
