About the position
Bucknell University is seeking a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Political Science with a focus on Non-Western Political Thought, starting in the fall semester of 2025. The successful candidate will teach core courses in political theory and specialized courses in their area of expertise, contributing to the department's commitment to diversity and academic excellence. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Political Science with a specialization in political theory, and those in the final stages of their dissertation will be considered, provided they complete their degree within the first year of employment.
Responsibilities
- Teach a core course in political theory and courses in areas of specialty.

- Engage in scholarly research and publish findings in relevant academic forums.
- Participate in departmental and university service activities.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Political Science with a specialization in political theory by the start date.
- Evidence of teaching experience and excellence.
- Promise of being a productive scholar.
