About the position

The Assistant Program Coordinator for Youth Recovery at Jefferson Center for Mental Health is responsible for overseeing the overnight clinical operations of the Youth Residential Recovery (YRR) program. This role involves collaboration with the Manager of the Youth Residential Recovery Unit and the Program Coordinator to ensure effective treatment and support for adolescents aged 13 to 18.5 dealing with substance use disorders. The position requires clinical and administrative supervision of staff, compliance with regulatory requirements, and coordination of discharge planning and community resource transitions for youth in care.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the overnight clinical operations of the YRR program.
  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision to approximately 4 program clinical staff.
  • Maintain staff schedules and ensure compliance with staffing matrix.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations; maintain quality of records.
  • Maintain a caseload and oversee treatment services for each child/youth.
  • Coordinate discharge planning and transition of care to community resources.
  • Work with the Medical Team for medication monitoring.
  • Manage crises concerning clients on overnights/weekends.
  • Provide training and supervision to meet BHA and Medicaid billing requirements.
  • Oversee documentation and billing requirements in accordance with regulations.
  • Develop and monitor approaches to improve client engagement post-discharge.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary team meetings for YRR clients.
  • Facilitate team meetings and provide supervision to staff on weekends.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation as scheduled.
  • Ensure adherence to Adverse Incident Reporting and Medication Occurrence reporting procedures.
  • Attend Critical Incident Reviews as designated.
  • Assist in identifying potential problem areas and developing professional development trainings.
  • Respond to client/consumer needs and maintain positive interactions with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (psychology, counseling, social work, etc.) with a CAS.
  • Three or more years of related experience in substance use disorder (SUD) with adolescents.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Experience in a 24/7 residential (inpatient) setting preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification as a Qualified Medication Administration Personnel (QMAP).
  • Certification in Nonviolent Crisis Prevention and Intervention Training Verbal De-escalation (CPI).
