About the position

The Assistant Program Director for ABA/Autism and Accreditation at Ball State University plays a crucial role in supporting the graduate and undergraduate applied behavior analysis programs. This position involves co-managing accreditation compliance, collaborating with faculty and students, and ensuring the quality of instructional content. The role requires an on-campus presence and is integral to the department's initiatives and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate, organize and co-chair the ABA/Autism Core Host meeting.
  • Facilitate program data analysis to evaluate student enrollment trends.
  • Complete textbook audits and collaborate with the departmental curriculum committee.
  • Assist Department of Special Education ABA leadership in evaluating instructional content and learner experience.
  • Serve as primary contact for students and faculty to address issues related to curriculum and academic performance.
  • Supervise proposed Capstone community and oversee the implementation of program-wide Capstone projects.
  • Review preliminary course loading for faculty and monitor adjunct faculty.
  • Oversee and maintain VCS/Accreditation and co-manage accreditation compliance.
  • Oversee the process of reviewing student transcripts for Pathway 2 BACB requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison with the BACB/Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • Support the ABA/Autism Master's program Director with additional tasks as assigned.
  • Supervise the ABA Accreditation and Field-based Experience Coordinator.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Department Chair/Program Director.

Requirements

  • M.A. degree from an accredited institution with BCBA credential.
  • At least 5 years post-BCBA administrative/leadership experience for M.A. candidates or 3 years for Ph.D. candidates.
  • Authorization to work in the US without employer sponsorship.
  • BCBA/BCBA-D credential.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ph.D. in applied behavior analysis or a related field.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Experience with accreditation.
