About the position

As an Assistant Program Manager at ServiceSource, you'll lead engaging arts-related activities and foster a supportive environment for individuals with disabilities to explore self-employment through their artistic talents. Your role will bring creativity, growth, and independence to those we serve at our King Street Community Integration Program.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the duties of the Program Manager in his/her absence.
  • Ensure the daily operations are fulfilled and running smoothly.
  • Maintain communication with pertinent management and staff regarding issues and concerns relating to the site.
  • Assist the Program Manager in providing support to the individuals served and staff as needed.
  • Maintain familiarity and ensure ongoing compliance with organizational policies and other regulatory bodies.
  • Assist with completing and reviewing all evaluation/assessment reports, ISPs, progress review reports, daily notes, case notes, incident reports, contacts, reviews, attendance and other supporting documentation.
  • Encourage and provide active engagement in all daily group and individual areas.
  • Promote a safe, clean, and orderly environment and report unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Demonstrate proper behavior intervention techniques.
  • Lead the creation and facilitation of daily activities focusing on diverse art forms.
  • Inspire and support individuals served by helping them explore entrepreneurial opportunities.
  • Establish/maintain communication with family members and other stakeholders regarding participants' progress.
  • Ensure, maintain, and monitor accurate and quality participant records and documentation.
  • Attend all staff trainings on documentation as scheduled.
  • Encourage and support staff to maintain compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Complete in an accurate and timely manner all assigned documentation.
  • Perform quality assurance of data and reports.
  • Train/support staff as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED).
  • Three (3) years’ experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • One (1) year of supervisory experience, preferably in the human services field.
  • Must pass the State of Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS) fingerprinting and criminal background check.
  • Must pass the ODD (Orientation to Developmental Disabilities) assessment and competencies.
  • Employees who drive individuals must possess a current and valid driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or college level course-work in the human service field.
  • Familiarity with self-employment opportunities and supporting entrepreneurial ventures.
