The Assistant Program Manager for Residential Care at GIL Foundation is a vital role focused on providing leadership and support in a residential setting for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of 12-15 direct support staff.
- Manage daily program assignments and ensure compliance with state licensing regulations.
- Coordinate medical, financial, programmatic, recreational, and facility management needs.
- Support the lead Program Manager in overseeing the residential program.
- Participate in community outings and recreational activities with residents.
- Handle scheduling and staffing needs using an electronic scheduling system.
- Be available for on-call duties in a three-person rotation.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Direct Support Professional or in a similar role.
- Previous supervisory experience in human services, particularly with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other managers.
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards residents and staff.
