About the position

The Program Manager - Ship Provisioning Government Contracts is responsible for overseeing the provision of services as per the Statement of Work in the Ship Provisioning contract between VersAbility Resources and the US Government. This role involves ensuring uniform support for loading, stowing, and offloading supplies on U.S. Government ships across various locations, while maintaining quality control and compliance with government standards. The position requires travel to multiple sites and collaboration with subcontractors and government representatives to ensure contract performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a government contract with multiple locations and subcontracting organizations.
  • Coordinate uniform support for the government customer with VersAbility subcontractors at each location.
  • Conduct site meetings with subcontractors, Source America staff, and government representatives as required.
  • Administer a Quality Control Plan for the Ship Provisioning contract.
  • Create and implement standardized procedures for monitoring and documenting contract performance.
  • Provide quality customer service and ensure the overall success of the Ship Provisioning contract.
  • Represent the organization to various outside agencies with increased autonomy based on location.
  • Assist with security issues at each location as required.
  • Ensure compliance with Ability-One requirements and OSHA standards.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and conduct monthly safety meetings.
  • Act as the first point of contact for government complaints regarding the contract.
  • Ensure subcontractors adhere to contract specifications and reporting requirements.
  • Review training on the safe use of materials and equipment at each location.
  • Promote positive communication with government personnel.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Five years of supervisory experience, preferably in a commercial business.
  • Experience in warehousing and inventory support procedures.
  • Knowledge of the Shipboard Naval Supply System and Afloat supply procedures.
  • Ability to board Naval ships and navigate through ship passageways.
  • Possess a valid Secret Clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with people with disabilities is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing.
