About the position

The Assistant Program Operations Manager at People Incorporated is responsible for supporting the Program Operations Manager in overseeing the daily operations of assigned residential sites. This role involves providing structured routines, implementing individual service plans, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies while maintaining a safe and supportive environment for residents. The position requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage crises and support staff effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a structured routine including house meetings, individual outings, meal preparation, and ADL care.
  • Facilitate family visitations and distribute medication while maintaining human rights.
  • Implement Positive Behavior Support and individual programs as identified in Individual Service Plans.
  • Utilize de-escalation and crisis management techniques as needed.
  • Follow organizational policies, procedures, and management decisions.
  • Ensure quality treatment, contract compliance, and budget management.
  • Oversee hiring, training, and retraining of staff, ensuring proper coverage to meet individuals' needs.
  • Work with all Residential sites to provide necessary supports.
  • Ensure all equipment and inspections conform to regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Human Services or related field and one year of experience, or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to supervise or coordinate others in a residential setting and respond to emergencies.
  • Valid driver's license and a qualifying criminal background check are required.
  • Flexible schedule to include evening hours, weekends, and some holidays.
  • TB screening and physical required upon hire, with updates every two years.

  • Interest in C.N.A, PCA, and HHA type work.
  • Students in Human Services, Psychology, and Sociology programs are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated effective project management and leadership skills.
