About the position

The Assistant Project Manager at Expert Home Builders Inc. is responsible for coordinating various aspects of home improvement projects, ensuring successful completion by collaborating with sales representatives and subcontractors. This role requires strong communication skills, project management experience, and the ability to manage multiple job sites effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with outside sales representatives to coordinate job site openings.
  • Communicate with office administrators, sales managers, and production managers regarding problem resolutions.
  • Understand the full scope of home improvement projects.
  • Involved in material purchases and informed about their arrival.
  • Request inspections and ensure presence at job sites for inspections.
  • Ensure contractors arrive on time and work efficiently.
  • Maintain relationships with subcontractors.
  • Assist sales representatives in finding new subcontractors.
  • Ensure quality of work from subcontractors.
  • Keep projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Visit multiple job sites daily.
  • Ensure customers are informed about project schedules and their needs are met.
  • Conduct final walkthroughs with customers and obtain completion sign-off.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • 5 years of construction experience
  • 5 years of assistant project management experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Project management skills
  • Knowledge of construction (interior and exterior)
  • Ability to understand blueprints (preferred)
