About the position

DEPCOM Power is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Project Manager to support the development and construction of utility-scale solar projects. This remote role involves managing various aspects of project execution, including schedule management, financial forecasting, and compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing large EPC projects and will play a crucial role in ensuring project success through effective communication and relationship-building with customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with tasks to help the development and construction of utility scale solar projects
• Help manage all aspects of project execution including schedule management, financial forecasting, prime contract compliance, progress reporting, customer and community relations, etc.
• Maintain project documentation related to contract administration, schedule and budgets
• Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders
• Proactively manage project scope, identify critical variables and devise contingency plans
• Assist in providing timely project reporting to internal teams and external customers
• Assist the PM to ensure project is in compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements with support of internal resources
• Build rapport with customers and find strategic opportunities to drive long-term mutually beneficial relationships

Requirements

• Field construction experience
• Understanding of prime contract and subcontract language
• Experience with cost estimating, scheduling, and customer interfacing
• Valid Driver's license

Nice-to-haves

• EPC experience in Solar, Wind, BESS, conventional power or industrial project
