About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join our dynamic team. The APM is essential in ensuring project success by managing schedules, budgets, and coordinating team efforts, all while supporting senior project managers. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction site management and a strong understanding of project management principles.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant team members.
  • Conduct construction estimating to provide accurate cost assessments for projects.
  • Interpret schematics and construction plans to guide project execution and ensure compliance with design specifications and project scope.
  • Utilize technology such as MS Office, MS Project, ProCore, Sage and BlueBeam for estimating, bid management and project documentation and communication.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying any potential issues or delays, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain effective communication with team members, clients, subcontractors, and others as necessary throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support time management efforts by tracking deadlines and deliverables to ensure timely completion of tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in construction site operations is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as ProCore.
  • Strong skills in construction estimating, construction drawing reading, schematics interpretation, and time management.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to facilitate collaboration among diverse teams.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with a focus on driving results with high levels of accountability and resourcefulness.
