About the position

The Assistant Project Manager at Clarkson Construction Company plays a crucial role in supporting the successful completion of infrastructure projects, particularly the I-70 improvement project. This position involves ensuring safety, quality, and production standards are met while managing relationships with various stakeholders. The role requires active participation in planning, executing work, and managing trade partners and suppliers, all while adhering to contractual obligations and maintaining project controls.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and engage field operations to ensure safety practices are followed.
• Understand, enforce, and ensure compliance with all contractual requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with the project team and stakeholders.
• Participate in and lead the development of work plans for project success.
• Lead all aspects of trade partner and supplier engagement.
• Manage business processes for contractual compliance and optimal outcomes.
• Implement and participate in secure and organized document control.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate the project schedule.
• Proactively seek to mitigate risks to protect the company and project.
• Participate in the project quality control plan.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, construction management, or equivalent.
• Strong industry experience specific to construction or equivalent knowledge preferred.
• Experience with PM software tools including Bluebeam Revu, Excel, AutoCAD, BIM360, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), MS Project, P6, Google Earth, Google Drive, MS Teams.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
