About this Role
Position
Probst Electric seeks a qualified APM to help handle a large Transmission Project in New Mexico. This position is required to work onsite at project locations, primarily throughout New Mexico. It will entail 95% travel.
What You'll Do
Develop large scale scope of work and project schedules.
Setup, organize, update, and maintain electronic and printed files of working documents in accordance with outlined document control practices.
Coordinate, schedule, and manage subcontractors, vendors, and material suppliers.
Develop and manage budget projection for labor, material, equipment, and subcontractors procured on the project.
Monitor/control construction through communication with superintendent to ensure the project is built on schedule and within budget.
Review cost reports and evaluate methods to reduce costs while maintaining productivity.
Responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly projections and progress for all construction activities.
Responsible for providing accurate project cost forecasting, and monthly cost to complete reports.
Responsible for the invoicing or payment application for completed work.
Responsible for productivity, efficient use of materials/equipment, and contractual performance of the project.
Lead daily, weekly, and monthly meetings, as required.
Generate meeting documents as required.
Manage all project submittals, change orders, and requests for information.
Negotiate with vendors and contractors regarding work scope changes and ensure that all contract commitments are completed on time.
Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Manage construction management team activities in conjunction with field operations.
What You'll Bring
BILINGUAL REQUIRED
High School or equivalent diploma.
Construction Management degree is preferred.
At least 1+ years of project management experience within the Utility industry.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite with strong Microsoft Excel and Project Scheduling skills.
Excellent written and oral communication.
Must pass mandatory drug and alcohol screening(s).
