About the position
Pro-Air, Inc is currently seeking Assistant Project Managers. Applicants that are searching for an opportunity to build a career in commercial construction serving the DMV area, are welcome to apply. Pro-Air is a premier mechanical contracting company specializing in mechanical, plumbing and process piping systems. Some of the tasks required for this position will consist of the below;
Responsibilities
- Work hand in hand with the Project Manager and provide the necessary support required for overall project goals
- Oversee and implement document control for the projects including RFI's, submittals, updating current drawing sets, permit applications, and as-builts.
- Responsible for obtaining and placing purchase order agreements with various suppliers and subcontractors
- Management of the project equipment release and delivery process
- Maintaining project change order logs
- Assist the project manager with cost estimating and change management controls
- Interface and attend meetings with general contractors and clients
- Developing positive relationships with clients, owners, subcontractors and suppliers
- Oversee the project closeout documentation process and procedures
- Working collaboratively with the entire project team
- Ability to work with multiple disciplines and departments
- Optimistic outlook and positive attitude with ultimate goal of providing the best interactions possible for our clients.
Nice-to-haves
- Some construction experience preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with reading blueprints and MEP drawings
- Experience with MS Suite and Bluebeam REVU
